Lewis & Clark AgriFood Names New Operating Partner, Steve Welker


Lewis & Clark AgriFood, a St. Louis-based food and agriculture focused investment firm, today announced the addition of a new operating partner, Steve Welker, to its team.Steve Welkner - New Operating Partner for Lewis and Clark

Welker is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in Fortune 100 and startup companies focused in the agriculture, manufacturing, and materials industries. He managed the global alfalfa seed business for Land O’Lakes, a leading U.S. agriculture company. Prior to his role at Land O’Lakes, he held several commercial and technical roles at DuPont, Monsanto, and Solutia, as well as small companies and start-ups.

Most recently, Welker completed the Distinguished Careers Institute Fellowship at Stanford University. As a farm owner from the Midwest, his time at Stanford included mentoring ag tech startups and sharing his farming and agribusiness experience with the investor community focused in agricultural markets.

Welker earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
