CropIn at the verge of global domination with a fresh infusion of $20 million in a Series-C Round led by ABC World Asia to advance the reach of its farm management and predictive analytics solutions.

CropIn, a leading global artificial intelligence and data-led agri-tech organization empowering stakeholders to reimagine agriculture with data, has raised US$20 million in a Series C funding round led by ABC World Asia.
CropIn will use this capital infusion to focus on its global expansion, while continuing to innovate on its machine learning-based predictive analytics platform, SmartRisk to further strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities. CropIn is also investing to penetrate deeper in its target markets globally.

CropIn was announced as the winner in the “Bring Your Own Agriculture Data Challenge” category, as part of the 2020 Innovation Challenge for Food Security & Agriculture Risk Financing, organised by The World Bank.
Another accolade joins as a feather on CropIn’s hat as CDC Group names the AgTech pioneer as an ‘Impact Gamechanger 2021’ for effectively utilizing digital technologies to address farming related challenges. CropIn has been chosen as one of CDC Group’s highest impact investments in the AgTech sector for leveraging technology to empower farmers.

CropIn’s data-driven farming solutions enable agri-enterprises and growers to ‘maximize per-acre value’. SmartFarm enables agri-enterprises to adhere to food safety standards thereby ensuring farm-to-fork traceability. The platform helps growers adopt sustainable farming practices to build long term economic viability and resiliency for local farming communities.

It covers 13 million acres of farmland and includes perhaps the largest agriculture data set globally, providing accurate, reliable information on 388+ crops and 9,500 crop varieties. To date, it has reached 4 million farmers, mostly in India, and now it’s quickly expanding into Africa.

Studies show that, on average, farmers’ incomes increase by 25 per cent in the first year of using CropIn’s technology. Also, climate resilience improves for 92 per cent of them.
